We know some racing fans like to watch while others crave the thrill and excitement of competing themselves. If you're in the second group, PGP is the place for you to be when the first group is settling into their couches for the Indianapolis 500.
That's because on May 27 we're pleased to announce the inaugural PGP 5.00, a five-hour rental kart endurance race, will be held! (Don't worry, we'll have the audio broadcast of the Indy 500, so you won't miss any of the action at the Brickyard).
The PGP 5.00 will feature teams of four drivers (must be 15 or older) and we'll use ballast to equalize driver weight to 190lbs. The team with the most laps completed after five hours will win an attractive prize package — details to be provided in the coming weeks — as well as hoisting the inaugural PGP 5.00 Champion's Cup trophy.
This special enduro is limited to the first 15 teams to sign up, so don't delay! The team entry fee is $600 and Ironman/woman is only $500! Registration is open by phone, in person at the track or by email to
Need to sharpen your endurance racing skills before the PGP 5.00? Don't worry, we've got you covered. In the weeks leading up to the race PGP will offer special practice endurance karting sessions on weekdays; extended 45-minute sessions will be just $60.
What are you waiting for? Round up three co-drivers and get your registration submitted. Why just watch a Big Race when you can be in one?
