With the sunniest, wa
rmest weather of the year on tap this weekend the best place to be Saturday morning is PGP Motorsports Park as 2012 Spring-Summer Rental Kart League Racing (RKLR) opens with the first of eight rounds.
Rental kart racing is the perfect way for newcomers to start karting and for experienced pilots to get their adrenaline fix.
As an added incentive, PGP will waive the entry fee for the 2012 Spring-Summer RKLR finale on Aug. 25 for anyone who races in the first seven events.
That's right: Compete in RKLR Rounds 1-7, and we'll give you Round 8 for FREE!
We'll kick things off at 9 a.m. on Saturday and give you four on-track sessions — practice, qualifying, Pre-Final and Final — before the event wraps up at 11:30 a.m. with an awards presentation. Weights will be used to ensure the two RKLR classes, Expert and Novice, are equalized for fair performance for different-sized racers.
There is no maximum number of drivers but the minimum age is 15; the member fee for a single event is $85 and for non-members it is $95. Pre-registration by email, fax or in person is required using the forms on our website.
The remaining 2012 Spring-Summer RKLR race dates are: May 26, June 9, June 23, July 1, July 21, Aug. 11 and Aug. 25.
