Around here you either get used to having fun in the rain, or you stay indoors most of the time. That's life in the Pacific Northwest.
Karting is no different and racing at PGP in the wet can be crazy fun! Mastering wet-weather karting takes practice but — once again — PGP is here to help! On rain days we offer free race tips and suggestions on driving in the wet.
PGP's trained staff will be trackside ready to answer any questions on wet-track driving and to help you overcome any uncertainty about racing in the rain. Our goal is to build your confidence and comfort level so you can fully enjoy the kick-in-the-pants FUN of racing in the wet.
Don't need suggestions as one of those folks who already has these special skill mastered? No prob. You can show us the way around having already experienced this drifting slide-ways with an ear-to-ear grin that can't be 'washed" away. Many of you in fact have been waiting patiently for the wet to come on back, not a sentiment often heard here in Western Washington but here it comes so bring it on!
Of course we also have rain gear for you to wear and the warming hut available for relaxing between sessions. Hey, having fun in the rain doesn't mean being uncomfortable!
And for any of you participating in the Rental Kart League Racing (RKLR) we host every Saturday, a little extra incentive – Bonus Points! We will determine if an event is a rain race or not and if so, bonus points will be added to anyone participating in the event that day. Just a little extra incentive and reward as you slip and slide in and out of your fellow competitors.
